If I had to name one label that inspired me to design it would undoubtedly be Stussy. I drew the logo over everything and since then I have always had a couple of logo tee’s on high rotation. Since working in the apparel industry, however, I’ve had numerous meetings with licensing companies, some which represent Stussy, and can’t help but feel the soul of a brand I have loved for so long isn’t really there anymore- it’s kind of like a friend you’re only friends with because you used to be friends. So when I discovered Shawn Stussy had started up his own blog, and more importantly it had nothing to do with his former company, I was excited to see what he was working on. The result is S/Double and it looks like the store front is coming soon….
