STOP COMMENTING & START CREATING

No doubt, the internet has brought amazing things into our lives, we can see what art movements are happening in real time on the other side of the world, we can live abroad but still be close to our family and friends back home and of course we also have a abundance of animated gifs showing cats play piano. SEMI–PERMANENT BOOK 1

The new Semi-Permanent Book 1 arrived in the mail yesterday, I’ve had this insecure feeling that my work was going to be omitted for some reason but thankfully I was wrong. This was not a paid gig but seeing one of my illustrations in a printed book that will be available in all good bookshops and museums around Australia, New Zealand, and maybe even Hong Kong is extremely rewarding. The hard cover edition can be purchased HERE, buy one today for your coffee table.

FRIDAY ON MY MIND

Another illustration based on one of Natalia Mantini’s photos of The Hundreds fame and now a established photographer based in New York. No real reason for this one, I just felt like drawing. Speaking of the Hundreds, Mr Bobby Hundreds is in town, and I can not wait for his keynote at Carbon tomorrow. Good times ahead.

SIX YEARS LATER

Unlike most scumbags I openly admit I buy magazines for the pictures and rarely read the articles, which is why the prospect of a artwork only magazine appeals to me. The kids at SIX YEARS LATER are launching their first magazine and to celebrate are throwing a launch party at Thousand Pond Bend. If you’re in Melbourne  in April check the details HERE.
