There are a number of reasons why I hate the festive season, one of them is because it’s a wake up call that the end of the year is near. Where has this year gone? My last blog post was in July (!), what have I actually done since then? Rather than cram it in on one post I’ll try to recap the last half of this year in regular blog posts leading to the end of 2012. Stay posted. Oh and by the way, this illustration has nothing to do with anything, I worked on it while waiting for a plane recently.

Oh Hey, remember me? Yeah I’m that guy that never updates his so called blog. I swear it’s only partly due to laziness – the rest is just poor time management (aka sleep). At any rate, just wanted to share a piece I created for a friends project, Around The Kitchen Table, a monthly art club if you will. This months theme was “David Bowie”.

No doubt, the internet has brought amazing things into our lives, we can see what art movements are happening in real time on the other side of the world, we can live abroad but still be close to our family and friends back home and of course we also have a abundance of animated gifs showing cats play piano. The new Semi-Permanent Book 1 arrived in the mail yesterday, I’ve had this insecure feeling that my work was going to be omitted for some reason but thankfully I was wrong. This was not a paid gig but seeing one of my illustrations in a printed book that will be available in all good bookshops and museums around Australia, New Zealand, and maybe even Hong Kong is extremely rewarding.
