S/DOUBLE STORE


I’ve been waiting all March for this shop to open but we finally have a date! Mr Shawn Stussy is opening up his new business venture S/Double April 12 and I’m excited. One of the reasons why we started printing T-Shirts was that we were sick of cool brands we liked becoming cheaply manufactured and designed licensed “product”, so I love the direction S\Double is heading. BUFFET



So the last two days have been spent in a warehouse in the Melbourne CBD attending Buffet, the first tradeshow in the Asia-Pacific dedicated to streetwear.

I was uncertain how well the tradeshow was going to be but extremely excited about the forum talks that include the likes of Jeff Staple, Frank Liew and Rafael Rashid to name few. (more…)

MR SHAWN STUSSY

If I had to name one label that inspired me to design it would undoubtedly be Stussy. I drew the logo over everything and since then I have always had a couple of logo tee’s on high rotation. Since working in the apparel industry, however, I’ve had numerous meetings with licensing companies, some which represent Stussy, and can’t help but feel the soul of a brand I have loved for so long isn’t really there anymore (more…)
