Remember those little stickers on banana’s you used to stick onto people’s backs? Well Chiquita banana have released a new set of characters. I really like the simple design and use of colour which goes to show even in something as small and unnoticeable (to some) you can show some creativity.
Head over HERE to see the design process and other Chiquita designs.

While sitting in front of a computer during my nine to five I started daydreaming about traveling again and realised I really missed being in Japan. This may sound really weird but I loved the colour palette of Tokyo in particular. So much neutral concrete but with splashes of warm yet vivid colours, which changed through out the day. Anyway here’s a photo I took in Shibuya, Tokyo, such a beautiful ward I can’t wait to get back to one day.

A student of mine last year asked me why I was teaching the pen tool in Illustrator when I could simply use the live trace tool, I spent the next forty minutes (I’ve since added to it) drawing this illustration from a picture of Polish model Anja Rubik. When I finished I told the student apart from the pen tool being a piece of crap where would the fun be in doing the easy way. Sites like OBAMA-ME pop up and I wonder what Shepard Fairey thinks…

To be honest, I don’t really care for the actual range but how cool are the Roy Lichtenstein inspired backgrounds? View the rest of the images HERE via Hypebeast. I tried to look up the original images at the LACOSTE website but could not make any sense of what was going on…

I wanted to make a concerted effort not to post too many things I wanted but could not afford, but damn these headphones from KOTORI look sweet, priced at 3600 YEN these headphones definitely fall under the “out of my price range category”. Sound quality is expected to be amazing but really who cares, they would have to be better than the crappy iPod headphones at any rate. Oh, and if you don’t like any of the 100 variations on offer you can customise your headphones too.
